Terms of Service

1. Nature of Service: Software Vendor Only (Zero Custody of Funds)

StayStrata LLC is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology vendor providing rental workflow software, digital twin physical vaults, multi-strategy analytics (STR/MTR/LTR), and direct booking interfaces. StayStrata is NOT a real estate brokerage, property management firm, escrow agent, or payment processor.

Under our Bring Your Own Stripe (BYOS) architecture, all direct guest booking fees, tenant rents, and utility reimbursements process directly through the Host or Property Manager’s own connected Stripe payment gateway. StayStrata never takes custody of, holds, or disburses customer rental funds.

2. Host and Manager Responsibilities

Hosts, co-hosts, and property managers are solely responsible for ensuring that all listings, leases, zoning regulations, municipal permits, lodging tax collections, and fair housing laws are fully complied with in their respective jurisdictions. StayStrata does not provide legal advice or verify municipal zoning compliance.

3. IoT Hardware & Smart Lock Disclaimers

StayStrata connects with third-party IoT hardware gateways (including Yale, Schlage, August, Minut, and Ecobee). StayStrata does not manufacture physical hardware and is not liable for device offline status, Wi-Fi outages, mechanical door lock jams, dead batteries, or physical security breaches.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Platform subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Fees paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StayStrata LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform. These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
